Dental implants have well known advantages in both rehabilitation and toothless area that are partial or total:

• avoids adjacent healthy teeth to be touched
• maintains the health of the alveolar bone
• allows fixed or movable prostheses in total edentulous patients with a restoration of functions: esthetic, masticatory and phonetic, inconvenient superior mobile prostheses

Preoperative investigations are necessary and are done by imaging (Rx OPT, CT) and laboratory investigations that will grant a good evaluation of the patient. Sometimes, due to insufficient bone availabilities certain maneuvers are required like bone augmentation (sinus lift, onlay grafts) with or without simultaneous application of implants. Implant insertion procedure is simple, painless, achieved loco-regional anesthesia, healing time is between 3-6 months.
